Should You Sign It? reads a document you scan or import and explains it in plain language. It is built so that your documents stay with you.

What the app collects

Nothing. The developer does not collect, receive, store or share any personal data or document content. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no server of its own.

Where your documents are processed

Text recognition uses Apple's Vision framework and the analysis uses Apple's on-device language model. Both run entirely on your iPhone or iPad. Page images and text are not sent anywhere.

What stays on your device

• Saved reports, if history is on (it is by default). Each report keeps its text and a small thumbnail of the first page. Page images and the full scanned text are not kept. You can turn history off or delete all reports in Settings.
• Your settings and the count of free analyses used.

This data is removed when you delete the app.

Camera

The camera is used only to scan the pages you choose to scan. Photos are not saved to your library.

Purchases

The optional unlock is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. The developer receives no payment or personal details from Apple, only anonymous sales totals.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

This website

The website at www.shouldyousignit.com sets no cookies and has no ads. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or fingerprinting and reports only totals such as page views, countries, referring sites and load times. No personal profile is built from your visit.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
